I played at the Majestic Star one morning this week. Only one table playing ($1.00-$2.00 NL) at that time of the day. I'm sure it would be busier later in the day. Play seemed pretty loose, there was tournaments that day that I could have played in but choose not to. There were quite a few mis-deals in the three hours that I played. I believe the Bad beat Jackpot was at $48,000 at the time. Of the 3 poker rooms in that area I would rank it the worst.
I've only played one sit-and-go at the Majestic Star, so I don't have much experience with the room, however, I did find it comfortable, most of the tables were going when I was there this past weekend and I really liked that the room had windows looking out on to Lake Michigan. The dealer was competent, though she had a thick Asian accent and was hard to understand - half the players seemed to know what they were doing, while the other half needed some serious instruction - not knowing when the action was on them, how much to bet etc. Overall the room was comfortable, the SNG ran smoothly, there was a lot of action and I think I prefer it to Resorts East - but would have to try both a few more times before deciding for sure.
